Interior designers enhance the function and quality of interior environments by designing spaces that improve the occupants' quality of life. Graduates of the Interior Design program have a foundation in art and design that informs their collaborative design process. Students are prepared to balance a client's aesthetic, practical, technical and budgetary considerations while transforming interior spaces ranging from residential homes to contemporary retail and innovative corporate spaces.

The Interior Design program leading to the Bachelor of Science Degree is accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation, www.accredit-id.org, 146 Monroe Center NW, Suite 1318, Grand Rapids, MI 49503-2822. The Art Institute of California – Los Angeles is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).
